Life’s plan for us and the movie, “men who stare at goats”

Life’s Plan

I came across the movie “men who stare at goats” on netflix.

The one line that came across to me is:

God’s plan reveals itself through subtle hints

They said universe, but I believe in a intelligent universe we have had contact with, so I said God.This quote in the movie was a great eye opener.

Change is Hard

Love is a guiding force in our lives and I hope someday we can find a system that promotes love in every person’s life, that we aren’t just a number of people paying taxes to support a system that is meant to create stability in our lives, but a people who work towards bettering our fellow man to generate a society promoting life, love and unity.

“Men Who Stare at Goats” brings to mind how evil truly seems innocent, but this is a lie.  Evil always brings itself in form of innocents, will come at you with a smile, a handshake and a pat on the back.  Why would it seem evil when we would instantly reject it, instead evil comes at us gradually building up until we find ourselves having these bad habits in our lives everyday in a growing fashion, much like illness or frog in a pan.  The only way to defeat these evils is to embrace them and try to do good. Such is stated in

Romans 12:17-21

Repay no one evil for evil, but give thought to do what is honorable in the sight of all. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Beloved, never avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God, for it is written, “Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord.” To the contrary, “if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him something to drink; for by so doing you will heap burning coals on his head.” Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

Evil is Subtle

Another thing I really liked from “Men Who Stare at Goats” was when the main character was told to dance, and he is brought back to when his father told him dancing is for faggots.  This brings me back to when I was a child and was told that “writing was for girls” or that “men don’t cry”.

I feel that these types of attacks on who we are can only be contributed to problems a person had in their life or fears they may have as an adult.  Stress of everyday living could also bring this on.

I know now that I need to foster my interests, guide myself to what I want to be, and how can the gifts inside of me be fostered to be someone who is healthy and doing what I was designed to do by the guiding force I call the “Lord God”.

As a spiritual person I also believe in evil spirits in people’s lives and that battling them through the 10 commandments the way to battle evil spirits in our own lives and attract the good spirits.  I may write a article on the 10 commandments and how they are difficult to follow, but essential to living a truly free life from evil.

In Closing

I hope you all are doing well and that you can find points in your life that may be hanging you up, after all I believe the guiding force in existence truly wants the good for us and will help and guide us as long as we don’t turn our backs on the being.  God is good, he wants us to choose our life and discover the gifts he has provided for us defeating evil forces that don’t want us to discover our gifts.  Brings me back to the bible verse that states we all have two gifts, one spiritual and one physical.

Anyhow, I hope all the best for all of you and that you discover your gifts, as the movie would point out, turn down the evil in your lives, do not listen to those who would put you down and your talents, but let them grow, water them, let the trees in your life bloom to full fruition, fight evil with love and kindness.
